When extending the physical entities of digital twins into the domain in which we operate, the digital twin's core virtual model can include not only physical laws but also information exchange, discussion among engineers, and resulting decision-making behaviors. Such behaviors arise not from physical principles alone but from our experiences, knowledge, and—more ambitiously—our consciousness. This calls for inductive, data-driven modeling rather than traditional deductive approaches.
Modeling data accumulated through project execution and the results of decisions using artificial neural networks that mimic human brain functions is particularly desirable. It enables us to mathematically represent our past and current work processes and experiences in a digital environment.
Furthermore, the ability to represent human behavior provides significant opportunities for reflection and improvement toward specific objectives.
