Building Information Theory 그룹은 실내 환경·건물·도시 시스템에서 생성·교환·활용되는 정보를 정량적으로 정의하고, 정보이론과 정보의 표현·추정·통합·의사결정 기술을 융합하여 데이터에서 지식으로, 지식에서 서비스로 이어지는 정보 기반 운영 원리를 정립하는 연구 공동체이다.
